Michael Lore is the Founder and CEO of Defense Nexus Technologies, an AI-powered matchmaking platform transforming the national security ecosystem. By creating a secure, collaborative digital hub, Defense Nexus connects every stakeholder across the NatSec supply chain — enabling strategic partnerships, resource sharing, and innovative solutions that tackle longstanding inefficiencies in government procurement, talent acquisition, and supply chain management.
A retired US Navy SEAL Master Chief, Michael brings decades of high-stakes leadership from elite special operations to the forefront of defense innovation. His career has been defined by turning around underperforming organizations, forging consensus across diverse stakeholders, and driving mission-critical change in complex, high-pressure environments — skills he now channels into building a platform that accelerates collaboration and growth across the NatSec community.
Before Defense Nexus, Michael served as President of Proof Insights, modernizing and growing a PE-owned market research company through pipeline development, cloud migration, and strategic partnerships. Prior to that, his work at KPMG spanned growth strategy and deal advisory across Aerospace & Defense and Industrial Manufacturing — helping companies commercialize emerging technologies including autonomous systems, advanced robotics, next-generation powertrains, and defense-focused software.
Outside of work, Michael is a fierce patriot who deeply believes in the mission behind everything he builds. He is a lifelong learner with a genuine passion for technology — constantly studying how it evolves, how it disrupts, and how it can be applied to solve real problems. That curiosity is what drives Defense Nexus forward.
